expanding on our sacredness— a communal altar mural + reflection space

In the words of revolutionary Grace Lee Boggs, "We need to discern who we are and expand on our humanness and sacredness. That's how we change the world, which happens because we will be the change."

I developed this communal altar and creative activity as an offering space for rest, reflection and re-grounding in the sacred heart-centered energy that guides the work of change-making for attendees of the 2023 Be.Bold Conference. Embodied as a collectively assembled, vibrant paper mural-altar, participants were given the opportunity to share their dreams, prayers, gratitude and intentions for themselves and their communities on colorful paper cut-outs, with various reflection prompts provided.
